June’s Free Pattern Is Here! ā˜€ļø

Ready to add some cheerful texture to your summer knitting?

Meet Perky Plaid—a playful two-color pattern made with just knit and slipped stitches (yep, still no purling!). The result? A vibrant, dimensional fabric that’s perfect for dishcloths, table mats, or bold layering pieces.

✨ Why You’ll Love It:

āœ”ļø No purling—just relaxing, rhythmic knitting

āœ”ļø Fun two-color design with a modern plaid twist

āœ”ļø Great stash-buster for summer cottons or bright scraps

Note:Ā You’ll carry the unused yarn along the edge, so the left and right sides will look different. Perfect for projects where a little asymmetry adds charm!

Download the pattern and add some colorful pep to your June projects. We’d love to see how you use it! šŸ’›

When I first tried this stitch, I thought it would be fun to make a whole afghan with big chunky yarn and oversized needles. But after a few scarves, I realized those giant loops from big needles can snag on everything! I’ve learned to keep this one for smaller projects—it's much better behaved. I knit this on size six needles and haven’t had a single snagging issue. It’s such a fun, satisfying texture without any of the fuss.
