Another Adventure!

Don't you just love it when one of your favorite quilt fabric collections gets a reboot? We do and we were thrilled to see High Adventure 2 from Design by Dani for Riley Blake Designs as the Deal of the Day at Missouri Star Quilt Company. We snatched that up straight away! When we bought the original High Adventure in December 2016 we made a simple fence rail throw. Our long arm quilter Carol used a sweet feather style motif on it and it was adorable.

The feather print was our favorite, naturally it became the border.

For High Adventure 2 we wanted something a bit different but also 10" stacker friendly. We combed the MSQC archives for inspiration. We found it in the Diamond Dash quilt. You can check out the video here:

We made a couple minor changes: first, we squared the blocks so they're a bit smaller than Jenny's, then we top-stitched a diamond motif in red thread where the sashing and the snow balls intersected.

And we chose red because the border fabric is the cutest red Tepee print ever!

First sunny day in over a week, we couldn't even mind that it was messing with our pictures.

Size wise- we ended up with about 60" by 90." That's a twin size quilt but you know what it also is??? A fabulous table cloth! It will fit nicely on a rectangular table that seats 6-8, so about a 60"-72" by about 30"-36." If only we had a mountain cabin.....

Love this fabric line? Find it...

May all your adventures be highly enjoyable,

V.
