Forest Friends

This month we had the pleasure of working with Forest Friends, a new juvenile line designed by Nancy Archer for Studio E Fabrics.

One of our favorite things to do when we get a new line is to come up with as many projects as we can. Quilting cotton is for more than just quilts! Here's what we made!

We love pairing vinyl with quilting cotton, it really makes the print pop! We did just that with the Words print, a fussy cut decorative strip top, bright teal zipper, and vinyl zipper pull. We took the Stripe and made a quilted tote bag with contrasting straps. They compliment our vintage pink velvet chair too!

If you've been with us since the beginning, you know we started out making vintage inspired children's clothing! We absolutely HAD to make a dress. Piping, pintucks, and precious puffy sleeves, oh my!

Who loves hedgehogs? This block made the perfect slip pocket for our Forest Friends shoulder bag! Complete with inside zip pocket, vinyl bottom, metal snap closure, and adjustable straps!

How cute are these crocuses? This print is one of our favorites, available with a neutral or green background.

We made a quilted pillow to highlight another Block!

One of the easiest ways to make an interesting window treatment is to use the large Stripe from a collection! This one we utilized two of the coordinates to make a header and footer for a little extra detail. Wouldn’t this be darling in a little girl’s room?

Panel Project Alert!

We added clear vinyl pockets to make this hanging organizer, great for extra storage in a nursery or playroom.

Simply velcro over a hanger and voila!

Forest Friends is in shops and online now!

Stay inspired,
