Vintage Cookie Jar Runner

If you have a love for vintage cookie jars, this table runner is for you!

Featuring the fabric collection Snow Sweet by J Wecker Frisch for Riley Blake Designs, this quick project evokes warm memories of holiday baking on cold winter days. If you like one stop shopping, you'll be happy to know that Aunt Henri has started selling kits in our Etsy shop!

We never cease to be inspired by great vintage finds, even if we only find them on Pinterest!

When we came across these classic mid-century goody jars we absolutely had to design something sweet and festive for our kitchen table.

This project is a simple raw edge appliqué that comes together easily and can be adapted into so many projects. Wouldn't they make precious place mats? If you turn your blocks you'll even get a fun wall hanging!

Whether you prefer machine or hand stitching, both methods can employ a variety of stitches and embellishments to make your runner unique.

Make the details stand out with metallic thread and pearl cotton!

Aren't these gingerbread cookies scrumptious? French knots are perfect for eyes and we love the stitched "icing".

And of course, this Sweets Toss makes the perfect backing!

You can find the Vintage Cookie Jar runner pattern, Snow Sweet fabric, & kits in our SHOP.

Happy Sewing,
