Paper Daisies Paperdolls

Remember those paper doll cut outs you played with as a kid? Recreate the fun with fabric and these vintage style fusible applique blocks! Add your own borders to make wall hangings and quilts of any size. Imagine this made out of all your children's old clothes you've been saving! This is versatile project that allows you to customize the layout to your liking.

This is the third Cut-Outs quilt we've made and this time we featured Paper Daisies by the fabulous Sue Daley. We played around with a different arrangement, lining the top with hats and the bottom with adorable shoes and matching purses showcasing all the different prints of this fun floral line.

These applique blocks are inspired by vintage children's clothing from the 1940s-1950's. Sweet little dresses, playful rompers, bucket hats, and last but not least....saddle shoes!

Boy, we do miss saddle shoes. Add a bit of colorful, decorative stitching and these articles pop! You can even go the extra mile by sewing on buttons or adding on lace collars and trims.

This pattern is a digital download and includes 12 applique patterns.
